Safety Harness & Lanyard Training and Inspection Course

Course overview

This ½ day training session is designed for your operatives who, in compliance with the Work at Height Regulations and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require to use fall arrest protection in the form of safety harnesses and lanyards in the course of their daily work routine.

The primary objective of this training course is to provide candidates with a good understanding of the safety requirements, the current legislation and any dangers associated with the use of a safety harness and lanyards. This Health & Safety Training course will enable candidates to be fully competent when working at height, ensuring the safe selection, correct use and inspection (but not maintenance) of harnesses and lanyards.

This training course can also be combined with our ½ day Work at Height Training course to form a comprehensive 1 day course.

Training Method

This is a classroom based course with power point presentations and a training DVD.

Course Requirements

The practical element of the training will be conducted using the customer’s equipment. It will be the customer’s responsibility to ensure that equipment is suitable for its intended use and is properly maintained and that all trainees are in possession of the correct PPE. (Safety Harness & Lanyard).

Location
Classroom based at client or trainer premises with adequate room for all candidates. 240v power required for projector allowing power point presentations and training DVD’s. Large screen TV’s with HTMI connections are also acceptable.

Clients Receive
Individual Certificates of Competency.
